No Confidence? 3 Mistakes You're Making in Your Mental Game
Not feeling confident out on the field or the court? I feel ya, girl. ๐
Having confidence is pretty important to perform at your best. Sometimes we feel it and sometimes we wonder if that feeling is ever going to come back.
When you’re not feeling that confidence, it really s-u-c-k-s!
๐You feel down.
๐You have a lot of doubt.
๐The motivation isn’t there.
๐You’re definitely not having any fun.
Then, you’re just stuck in this slump. This whole you can’t climb out of. And ALL you want is to just feel confident so you can play like you want to!
Here are the mistakes you are making when it comes to your mental game. Your mindset. Your thoughts.
1๏ธโฃ You are being stubborn and holding onto the mistakes for way toooooo long.
Trust me girlfriend. I know it is hard to let it go. But, think of it this way…
Are you better off being stubborn and holding onto the mistakes? AKA feeling miserable, sad, and pouting around.
OR
Are you better off letting it go, learning from it, and improving?
Seems easy when you see it with this perspective, huh?!
2๏ธโฃ You let your emotions and thoughts run YOU!
Ahhh! You’re letting those thoughts control how you play instead of taking control of your thoughts! When you take control of your thoughts, you create confidence. You be the boss! Do this one simple thing to start gaining control of your thoughts. Write down 5 positive and powerful sentences about yourself EVERY DAY!
Example: I am a game changer!
3๏ธโฃ You aren’t putting any time or work into your mental game at all.
How much time do you work on your physical skills at practice a week? 1 hour? 3 hours? 5 hours? 7 hours? 9+ hours?! It’s probably a lot! But, how much time are you working on your mental game? Your mindset? Your confidence? For a lot of girls, it’s 0 hours! It’s okay, don’t freak out. Start small. Start by reading my weekly Youtube video/IGTV/email! You’ll have something to work on each week! Easy peasy.
Little adjustments. Your mental game is everything. You want confidence?! Start doing these little things.
You’ve got this! ๐
